I want to survive

Demons

Karl Renz: Demons. The only demon I know it is a me. That is Presence, the demon is there, the me. It’s a paper dragon, come on. Cannot do anything. Many have this idea: you have to kill the dragon inside, the ego like a dragon. You have to become like Roland from Bremen, then you are untouchable – you have this armor around you, like a screen you cannot penetrate. But if there is one part, one little thing, there is a leaf, and then comes ouuu, so no way out.

Dream

Question: What about the dream state?

Karl Renz: Here. Here. This is dream state.

Question: No, what we normally call the dream state?

Karl Renz: This is dream state. I am not normally here. This is dream state. You think I am normal? Don’t say we. What you call dream state. At night when you dream, what is then? You think that dream state is different than this state?

Question: What is the difference?

Karl Renz: No difference. This will be gone and that is gone. That what happened last night will be gone and this will be gone too. So it cannot be Reality because it is sometimes and it is gone. It’s like this life or this whatever experience. That is why it’s called dream state. That what is not dream or that what is Reality cannot be sometimes and sometimes not. So whatever has a beginning and an end is a dream state.

So your life now is a dream experience. Mahendra’s life being born and then dying is just a dream. The Merry-go-round. What a dream. So no difference of the night dream or this day dream. It’s both dream. You have nothing to gain here and you have nothing to gain in the dream.  As you have nothing to lose here, as you have nothing to lose at night in your night dream. You are always happy when you wake up from it in the morning. It was maybe a nightmare. So but all nightmares and good dreams are ending. And be happy about it that is just a dream. Pure happiness

Karl Renz: I will add… “because you cannot be otherwise”. For That you don’t need to do anything, not even to be beyond, which can still be a desire. But you are what you are with desire or without desire. Whether you are stupid or intelligent you cannot lose this absolute knowledge, because you are That, whether you like it or not. I am That

Karl Renz: That is Nisargadatta said, “I am That.” Finished.

But first they always start what you are not: you are not the body, you are not… It starts always like that. And then you go to the total background, substratum. And then from there you shift to what you are not. Because knowledge doesn’t know anything. But it always starts like a substrating everything until even the substrater is substrated.

Karl Renz: Yes. When you eat – you eat, when you sleep – you sleep, when you make the dishes – make the dishes, when you shit – you shit.

Question: It’s like zen method.

Karl Renz: Yes, like zen 24/7. Being what you cannot not be 24/7, just be quiet. That is the only whatever I can… It’s like an absolute reference point and solitude. Being alone in even the biggest crowd. Just face the solitude 24/7.

What is going on here?

Question: What is going on here in general? What is happening here?

Karl Renz: Nothing I think. Nothing happens here. Nothing ever happened. That is good. That is the absolute happening that nothing ever happens. Absolute non-happening. So you should be happy because nothing ever happened. As a person it’s really every moment is a horror show, really like a zombyland everywhere. Everywhere is the walking of the death. Dead men walking. Dead corpses talking. Death dancing. That is what you experience. Because Life you can never experience. You can only experience a death. There is never any Life experience.

Question: But who is experiencing death?

Karl Renz: Life experiencing itself as death. As a body, as an universe, as whatever. It’s all a dead experience. Because Life cannot be experienced. But Life cannot otherwise dreaming itself or experiencing itself as death, as empty, as phenomenal. The nomenal Life, That what is nomenal can only experience yourself as phenomenal. There is no difference in it but the phenomenal experiences are not that what is a nomenal. So that’s why it’s all dreamlike. You call it real or unreal. Substratum

Question: Nobody realizes the Absolute.

Karl Renz: There is nobody in the Absolute. There is only the Absolute. Since nobody owns the Absolute, nobody can be the Absolute. That will always be a paradox, for sure, and you are this paradox. Only a paradox doesn’t need to explain itself because for that what is para, prior to all ideas, the paradox is what is in the presence as in the absence. For That there is no paradox. But for the intellect it is an insoluble koan. How could that “what is not” be that “what is”? You cannot understand this, you can only be it. That never makes a problem and That needs neither explanation nor to solve a koan.

Question: Nisargadatta Maharaj said: “You are pure unknowing”.

Nobody has any idea of what it means

Question: Do you feel any emotions?

Karl Renz: I feel everything! I feel the Whole, I feel all aggressions, all the things you said, people attacking me, all this energy that unfolds, but what to do? But this, I could not take it on me, it just comes and goes. You cannot bear this compassion, you cannot take it personally, it consumes you. In fact, I take it absolutely personally, in this way it doesn’t make any problem. Otherwise, if you don’t have any armour, you go straight to the mental hospital. Nobody has any idea of what it means.

So there are more sensations than I could imagine. Actually, it is not always easy for this body. Maybe without this breakthrough, without this energetic preparation of the cells, the body couldn’t bear it. So with all the things that occurred in the 60’s, these energetic teachings, these dreams in the night, this shamanism, these electric-shocks, consciousness was preparing the tool, so it’s ok…
