Question: What is the way to happiness?
Karl Renz: There is no way to it.
Question: So, what is happiness?
Karl Renz: What is happiness?
Question: Permanent.
Karl Renz: Yeah. That is what you are. But you will never attain it. There will never be anyone who is happy in it. Because that me which tries to be in happiness is only in unhappiness. The “me” exists only in unhappiness.
No, the nature of happiness is that what never needs to be happy – to be happy. So, the nature of joy is the joy that you don’t need to enjoy yourself. This absolute absence of any necessity at all to be or not to be. That is joy. That is the nature of knowledge. The knowledge who never needs to know anything to be what it is.
Or that ananda which is ananda by nature but not by anything else. So, being what you are is ananda in nature. Because being what you are never needs anything. And that is fact. And that is satis-faction. And not satis-fiction.
Now everyone lives in a satis-fiction. Because you live in the fiction that you have to be satisfied. You have to experience satisfaction to be what you are. No, you are already satisfaction. That you are – you don’t have to learn.
So, your absolute existence cannot be forgotten and cannot be remembered. Or cannot be learned by anything. And whatever you learn is ignorance. Just a big mountain of ignorance. And you can say – “Oh, I learned everything, I read all the scriptures, and know them inside out…” But if you don’t know yourself by being what you are – is all what? Misery.
Ownershit. My knowledge. How can knowledge be owned? What is that what you can own? A piece of shit, that’s all. Ownershit. All relative shit.
But chit cannot be owned. But chit is what you are. So, sat-chit-ananda. Tree names for your nature. Which can never be owned by anyone. But you are That.
